Being (queer bodies) together is a monthly evening of bodywork, sharing practices and simply, being together. Each evening has a theme which we explore together. You are encouraged to participate in the whole series, but are also welcome to join for one evening.
This month: Being (consensual) Together
What do you think about, when you think about consent?
How do you move through the space sensing your own wants and giving (holding) space for the wants and needs of others. This evening we want to explore consent as a group.
We’ll work with movement and touch, practice voicing our desires, feel when there is yes or a no. And we’ll slow down. Take a break. Pause. And maybe change direction, move closer, or take a step back.
Consent is often seen as something that there or not. A boundary that is overstepped or honoured, in reality it is often a bit more grey. How do we deal with this messiness? How to repair when things went too fast. How to move away or slow down after an initial yes. What does it feel like when you voice a desire and the answer is no? How do you stay connected? These are questions we take with us into the room to explore together.
For this workshop the focus is not on the erotic side of consent, although you can use what we explore in an erotic/romantic setting. This evening will be hosted by Josje.
